any STis interested in racing an EVO VIII?
posted on formshawaii. a shop has a customer with an EVO VIII and is interested in racing a STi in the 1/4 for comparison puroposes.

well, a 13.5 is an STi's best right now (which can be bettered by a few tenths I think ), .... so when are ANY of the EVO's going t go to the strip??

The fastest stock Evo on the mainland (as of late April) was 13.1 @ 102. Of course, I seriously doubt a stock Evo could approach those numbers here, but those times (especially the traps) are still pretty damn impressive.

2nd run:
60' 1.841
330' 5.444
1/8 8.461
mph 82.56
1000' 11.092
1/4 13.289
mph 104.56

3rd run: missed second but still ran a 13.768@ 100.34mph
4th run:
60' 1.776
330' 5.406
1/8 8.410
mph 81.88
1000' 11.003
1/4 13.185
mph 102.17

I'm thinking that the Evo is going to turn similar times but lower mph... Maybe 13.6-13.8 @ 94-95mph? Just a total guesstimate...
