Yeah not so good for daily...I tried turning a dude's one back in OH and you could really tell how much more effort it took to turn.

Still better than a non-power steering car but nowhere near a regular car.

Here was my reply to your PM, but I'll post it here too for everyone to read.

It cost me $134 to ship to Hawaii. On the box it only said $66, so I think I got ripped off there.

I ordered it ALMOST 4 MONTHS AGO. If your planning to get one quick, don't hold your breath. Tibor is a good guy, but customer service and speed are not his strong points.

I went with the 11.5:1 rack (I think), plan to install next sunday (doing great aloha run monday, don't want to be sore for it) I'll let you know when its in.

And as far as I know, I don't know anyone who has one in a GD. All the guys I know personally have them in GC's

i installed one on simons 05 legacy as well, in which i was encouraged to test drive. i dont think body style would matter much...

these are my observations on my post install test drive

-fun at low to moderate speeds, autocross speeds? as previously mentioned
-easier to manuver into parking stalls lol
-no major powersteering issues just patiently bleed it well
-yes theres a change in feel at the steering wheel as far as power assist, but not much
-if i remember correctly, holding on the brakes at a stop and try to turn the wheel may contribute to a harder to turn steering wheel
-higher speeds amplifies the effect of the quick rack, car feels very "twitchy" and very easy to overcorrect in an emergency situation
-very sensitive "twitchy" when hanging turns like freeway onramps

my opinions and preference

-this is a no brainer but, one who installs this rack should take the time to learn the new characteristics before feeling ballsy behind the wheel
-i would not buy one because i daily my sti and i feel im not always alert enough to SAFELY react to emergency situations on the freeway. Not saying im a *****, but theres always a random moment some idiot does something on the freeway. when you get suprised, you can panic. when you panic, you overcorrect for the situation... i like to relax on the freeway
-stock is fine for me, i dont autocross
-i would buy one if i was baller status and my subaru was a weekend car
-i could probably get used to a quick rack but i dont prefer it for freeway speeds, thats just me..

sorta Off Topic
if you buy a BMW, have them throw in their active steering option. its basically a rack thats only quick at lower moderate speeds and slower on freeway speeds.. it feels awesome... lol
