Does it matter? Both are inferior... Well not that bad.. But overpriced for what it is. Like I mentioned in my other post,

The MKII can go in smaller boxes, go deeper, and move more air then the hx2. The only advantage to the hx2 I see is more power handling. But whats the point if I can outplay you with less watts and for less then half the cost?

I'm interested....but I want you to help me build a fiberglass enclosure that fits where the spare tire goes. Will you take payment in beers ? Seriously though, I was thinking of single 12 " HX2. How does this compare ?? ( I ask because I know your history of competition sounds )

Well given that a 12" speaker in general has a larger surface area, my Dayton with it's larger then normal xmax probably can't compete. Plain and simple the 12" will be louder. However a 12" wont fit in the spare tire, but it would in the well itself. My 10" will fit in the tire. Keep your spare and run a hidden sub, how can you go wrong?

Up to you really... whats a few more decibels and an unnecessarily large box?

Oh and BTW, it was YOU that worked at Island Sounds

Oh if I was set on getting a 12" for myself, it wouldn't be a Rockford.. Perhaps something like a IDQ 12", Elemental Designs e12a, or if I was a real bass head.. A DD sub.

Rockford, and Kicker are really crap now when it comes to subs. overpriced rubbish for the past couple years. Great amps and separates though
