Another vote for Whiteline. 27-29mm for the front and 22-24mm for the rear. I like Kartboy endlinks in the rear. Good stuff.
IMO Cusco bars a little too small unless you are running very high spring rates.
Here's a pix of the bars in action. Notice the lack of roll.
I'm a believer in big bars versus high spring rate. Big bars let you run softer rates which I feel make for a more compliant ride. Big bars also help you maintain static camber which is necessary in the camber challenged STi with its strut based front suspension and big travel.

Mike,
I've used whiteline's and cusco. Whitelines are plenty good and strong, but are heavy Read:HEAVY. Cusco and cobb are the same i believe, so either would work. ThaT being said, i have no problems with whiteline as a rear anti-sway, but I had to replace the power steering pump on the front after installing a whiteline. I would use cusco all the way in the front, as opposed to the whiteline. I'm a big whiteline fan, but not for the fronts.
Maybe others with perrin or hotchkis can chime in here. They manufacture the largest front bars on the market.

Had Cusco front and rear in the bugeye with Helix Endlinks...those were ok.
The Wagon has Whiteline (F 22 set at stiff and R at 24 set stiff) with Kartboy rear and Helix Front links.
I prefer the wagon's setup much more than the bugeye's. Getting Tokico D-Specs with custom wound springs this Spring.

I have used Whiteline bars for close to 18 Solo events and numerous test and tunes and even a driving school. They have proven reliable and quiet.
In terms of weight, the weight issue may exist for a low power car like my Miata that makes maybe 90 whp. But in an STi, weight is less of an issue.
Just realize that the sway bars you decide to go with must work with your other suspension parts such as your springs and dampers. Take a holistic approach to suspension tuning versus just slapping on parts with the hopes that they work together.
Also, be very methodical about setup and keep logs and records of everything.
Lastly, go to the track and test the stuff.

i am running 8k/6k spring rates on my BC coilovers wich i think is a good combo for autox since weight transfer is pretty key at the lower speeds. plus it makes a slightly more compliant ride on the street (although i keep the dampers set pretty stiff anyway). so givin my slightly lower springrates i think a stiffer/larger swaybar may be more appropriate for my setup (feel free to let me know if i am wrong). i've heard good things about whiteline, although my power steering is already a bit on the weak side and i would rather not replace the pump. then again i wouldnt be the first suby to have a steering pump go out so i may have to do that down the road anyway.

Mike, I currently run Cusco front and rear swaybars and I love the set-up. My car is first and foremost a street/daily driver that takes the wife and kids places. So my set-up is quite mild, but for once a month baby gets autocrossed so the dampening gets wicked up a bit. I stuck with Cusco as I feel they are engineered to function together and they do. If competition is your priority, then big bars are a must which Whiteline delivers in spades.

well like i said i want it to be a performer, but since it is daily driven comfort is a consideration, albiet a small one. i like a good firm feel even in the daily commute and actually keep my dampers at about what i autox with. i've never driven a subaru with swaybars so i cant really make a comparison but as long as they aren't harsh or noisy and dont break my steering pump then bigger is better i say. i think its down to whiteline vs cusco wich is what i had narrowed it down to before hand..... im thinking whiteline as long as it doesnt compromise my daily driving too much.

Been daily driving the Whiteline 27mm front and 24mm rear sways for about a year and a half now. I couldn't tell any difference as far as harshness goes, but made an improvement in decreasing body roll. No noise either. I'm happy with the whiteline sways so far. No complaints.
