ok, new update on that....so i found out who he was, (a friend of a co-worker) so i told this coworker that he needs to put his money where his mouth is and step up. so he did...and this guy comes up to me at work (im an MP at the gate) and starts talkin real smack. so i was like, whatever...he says NOW that he has a B18, and wants to race me now...im still barely holdin it back...for the record, i think its fake carbon fiber, there ARE stickers everywhere, and the car is all riced out....hmm.....B18/intake/exhaust/stickers Civic vs WRX? i think no.

well there can b 2 thing that COULD make his car fast.....

1) he has a FULLY MODED type R motor and he has a hatch (w/ or w/o turbo) because i think the code name for the the type R is b18c3 or b18a1 something like that... and w/ turbo it would most likely beat a stock wrx probably and keep up with sti's... caz i've heard of some that clock 12-13's... w/o turbo.. against your wrx... it'll b a good race...

2) he has a FULLY MODED gsr (b18c1 or b18c2 i can't remember) w/ turbo or w/o turbo... i have friends that clock 13-14's w/ turbo and w/o turbo they clock 14-15's...

soooo... i dunno man, just gotta b careful..... sometimes u never know.. anything can happen in a race... either way.. if he has v-tech plus the turbo, i would seriously reconsider "racing for money".... i mean... only a stock wrx... hrmmmm.... hahahahaha im just joking... LOL..

I believe the Type R has the B18C5.

I've heard of EG civic hatches w/just a H22 swap running low 13s/high 12s in the mainland.

i'd still race him for cash. did you hear a BOV? i would say no turbo then, cuz someone that obnoxious would get a BOV to match his said personality.

Take him to the track and let the cars do the talking.

it depends at the 1/4, i learned to do both holding or bouncing the rpm...i am really more comfortable with holding the rpm and then slipping the clutch(in a fast way)..sounds easy but it's kinda hard to master, but some people still bounce which is no prob...and at the line everything happens so fast that your mind has to be clear or else you'll lose concentration...hope this helps, peace.
