Yeah you gotta replace the oil thats in the filter. I would think you would have to put what a half-quart or more in with each filter change.

Wow,

having a longer oil change schedule doesn't mean you don't check it. You do check your oil, right? Or only when you change the oil?

if you read the Amsoil bottle carefully it explains that turbo motors should follow the manufacturers reccomended drain interval...

Hope this doesn't hijack the thread, but after reading it, I was wondering.......isnt' the weight of the oil you're using just as important as the oil itself? Does everyone here run 5-30, or does living in Hawaii allow us to use thicker oil without the consequences of living in a colder environment?

Getting back on the actual topic...I noticed a big difference in the high rev's as well, after changing from Mobil 1 to amsoil when I put my first 3K on it....been on amsoil ever since.

0W-30, 5W-30, and 10W-30 are all fine for our cars...just depends what kind of performance you want.
