Alright, we're almost there...we just need a bit more support to clear the current House and Senate Bills, and then it's own to conference, and then, if all goes well, Governor Lingle for approval. The bills basically have passed, and are now switching sides...the HB994 will go in front of the Senate, and the SB1734 will go in front of the House for approval.

With your help...we can get it done. I want to thank again, everyone that submitted testimony last time...but we're not through yet. And I also want to say, that I hope that more of you will submit testimony this time...we had a good list of people...but considering the size of these forums, and how many people here are motorsports enthusiasts, it really was a small amount. We cannot make it any easier...if we could email them for you, we would...but since we can't, we're asking for your help once again.

What we need, is as many people as possible to submit testimony to the the committees and/or show up for the hearings. HB994 is scheduled on 3/18/05 at 3pm in conference room 414 with the BED/TGO committee. SB1734 is scheduled on 3/21/05 at 11am in conference room 423 with the WLO/TAC committee at the State Capitol Building.

The testimony part is easy, because we've done all the work for you, just use one of the following templates and submit it to testimony@capital.hawaii.gov with the subject line of "Support of HB 994, Relating to a New Motorsports Center" and then resend again but change the subject line to "Support of SB1734, Relating to a New Motorsports Center"

To repeat, please submit testimony to testimony@capitol.hawaii.gov for HB994 AND SB1734 using one of the provided testimony templates. Please modify them to fit your needs and location. Simply fill in the blanks with the recquired information. Its easy as pie. These are provided as samples, but be aware others will be using the same templates for submission.

You can still submit testimony, but it might be too late for them to actually read it DURING the hearing. You can still show up at 3PM though at the Capitol Building to support it!
