Re: I can't remember exactly,

but I though it was about $150, maybe a little more, including the camber bolts. The Teins can probably be setup to ride as low as you want, although they have recommendations in the manual. I think most of us have them at least 1" or more lower than stock height. I haven't seen a Subaru yet that's really "slammed".

If I use the recommendations stated in the Installation Manual (http://www.tein.com/ti/inst/6s28u.pdf) is thie the 1" lower than stock ride height?

Thanks

Jon

You can compare it to mine if you want,

I wound up using the recommended settings, but I can't say exactly how much lower than stock. Put 'em side by side and if you want it a little lower/higher it shouldn't make too much difference. I think the recommended settings helped with preload more than anything.

Do you know if they come at stock ride height? What do I need to get this installed? Spring compresser?

Jon
Where you get em? Mailorder? Looking at the Flexs and springs at Gruppe-S, but would rather get em local if the price is right.

Ok, seem to be the same price from them as through mailorder. You get springs too?

You don't need springs

with the Flexs. They're coilovers. You do have the option of using the EDFC (damping controller), it's about $400 extra, somewhere in that range.

Thanks for correcting my ignorance. Kept seeing the springs online with the Flexs and had no clue, atleast that saves some cash. Thanks...

No problem,

and if you're still thinking about the FMIC, the install of the APS wasn't bad at all (mine's the older one that's harder), but cutting the bumper skin was a PITA. Nothing you can't do on your own though.

Yo... you got APS that's the one I wanted.. What type of engine management you got? Do you have the stock airbox or an intake system? the reason I ask is because TurboXS will not tune my car with an intake or FMIC. APS said that they'll tune it but will it work with my harness? Does APS have repitable tuning?

Jon

I cut some skin from my bumper... it was ok with a variable speed dremel (dremel kicks ***!!!) and exacto saw! Got pics of your car?

Farid is a Subaru guy. Just talk to him for a bit and let him know that you're interested in getting some Tein Flexes. More than likely he'll be able to give you a good price. All I know is that I'm getting them for less than what Gruppe-s wants them for. You still have to factor in the cost of shipping which should be around !$150~$200. Going through Farid, the amount he's charged me was less than what Gruppe-s wanted them for BEFORE shipping and he's already included the shipping!

I'd say give it another try with Farid. Actually go down there and talk to him in person!

Jon

- If you want to go locally you could always try HyperSports suppositly they were supposed to give me a deal on them as well! But I like going to Speedgear for all local purchases

I have the APS Type R FMIC.

This is not the new one, but it's predecessor. No engine management yet, still gathering information about which direction I want to go. Really trying to figure out which turbo (SR30, VF34, etc) to go with. I sent you a PM yesterday. Give me a good email address (pics are too big) and I'll send you pics of the FMIC and how low the car is with the Teins.
