Advan RGs on finally...

Well, finally got the RGs on. Went to Eurosport, good place to deal with from this instance. Also ordered up some Kumhos for the track, should be in next week in time for BMW track day.

Wasnt quite as thrilled about the wheels as I had hoped, especially after so much damn money, oh well. The blue color on the rim didnt show up in the ad I saw, but atleast it does match the color of the car pretty damn close (well sorta, after looking at the pic its a bit dark, oh well).

Before:

After:

Still too much fender gap tho, hoping some Teins will lower it enough to make it more presentable.

THe look is starting to grow on me, had to spray the tires down to make em shiny and every time I walk out I like it even better. So much more to do tho and to think the wheels/tires were easily a Vishnu Stage 1, ugh...

Oh well. Going to work on handling before more power anyways, I gotta know how the heck to control the beast before turning it loose...

I really like the look! By the end of it's life, I wonder how many different owners/sets of parts are going for that car? So far it has a pretty distinguished pedigree (Volks, Advans, Blitz, Kartboy, Tein, etc.) Nice choice, Dave.

Your rims look sweet.. Increasing my ache to get gold rims even for a white sedan. what kinda kumho's (712s or MXs) did u get.. and what was the charge on that? As for the 4x4 look.. i had that going, too... jus be patient. I took craploads of ribbin' from my co-workers and anyone in general that saw my car -- especially since i had the 18s. Advans unite ! LOL

i can clean the inside of my rims w/o taking them off ! .. it does bother me a bit... but keeping 10 benjamins in my bank makes me feel better for now. Plus, bigger rotors would take me outta ESP .. and we can't have that, right, russ, barry, greg ??-- and ALL takers .. hahahaha (j/k.. if i can't get off work easter sunday i might be the 1st loser)

18 x 7.5 and for wheels alone $2150.

Tires are 225/40-18 Bridgestone S-03s and were $900 or so.

Both shipped, wheels from Gruppe-S and tires from Tire Rack.

$100 to have em mounted and all at Eurosport.

Hah! No lie Greg. I have Kartboy on there, Blitz TT, Advans now, PDE up-pipe, Teins on order, then Vishnu and APS after that. And oh yeah, thanks to Mitch I gotta get upgraded brakes. =)

The Kumhos are V700 (some sorta heat cycled deal) for the track mainly. I guess I gotta do the Nascar swerve now before running em. =)

All the reviews I read say they are track and autocross only application so its perfect. Cost me $145 each, shipping an extra $120, but will be here next week in time for track day.

I have zero skillz, but gotta start somewhere. I want to run it pretty much stock and then do Teins and go from there, just to see the improvement.

Grr, yeah yeah. I was afraid of that. I can almost crawl through the space there, but like Jeff said we can reach in and clean the whole inside of the rim. Hah.

Brembos the choice for upgraded brakes around here?

Actually Stoptech would be the preferred choice here...

However if you plan to ever use the stock wheels every now and then you will want somthing like this....
