Xylene shouldn't compose more than 30% of the fuel in your tank. So in a 16 gallon tank you can run about 4.8 gallons of xylene/toulene if you want. At that point though it might be cheaper just to buy 100 octane. This assuming you can tune your car tyo take advantage of it. I usually just put 1 gallon in a full tank just to bump it up a bit. I run more or just use C16 if I use my race program.

Yeah Greg I never said I could spell well, but I didn't just ask someone how to spell it instead of trying myself. Do the MATH, if you mess it up then post what you got and ask for help. It may be the simplest equation I have ever seen.

Wink

The math is wrong too. You have it as ((1X117)(14.9X92))/15.9=93.57 Octane, it should be ((1X117)+(14.9X92))/15.9=93.57 Octane

Rage, Do a search on Water injection. Tons of turbo guys have been doing this since the 70's -80's. It really has great cooling properties as long as you're careful on boost. I only suggest it if you're really serious about high boost tuning. My Brother in law has done quite a bit of water injection and runs the xylene mixture I posted in his Grand National. He's running in the 9 sec range now, on slicks. If your STI is a daily driver I don't suggest water injection unless you're comforrtable w/ switching settings everytime you hit the track. BTW, what is your goal? That's the real question. If you want to have fast lap times and kill at SCCA on time attack, then I suggest spending your $'s on tires and suspension. If you only want to go fast straight, then that's a different story. Sorry, but for me, time attack and super lap are the only real interest I have. I've done the 1/4 mile w/ my Camaro, GSR, Corrado etc. and it's just not the same excitement. Just my 2 cents.
