I guess I must post the forumla again. Ok, the deal is run 1 gallon of Xylene to 3 gallons of 92 octane w/ 3 ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil. The result is 100 octane for about $6.50-$7.00 a gallon of Xylene. DIRT Cheap. I run a mixture of about 96-97 octane 24-7. Looking for about a 93.7-8 octane. Just put in one gallong of Xylene, 3 ounces of MMO and fill up your tank.

larry is right... this is my method...

for 93 octane, add 1 gallon of xylene with 4 ounces of marvel mystery oil. then fill her up. should be about 93.5 or so...

94 or 95 octane, i usually do 1 gallons to every 5-6 gallons of 92.

xylene recently went up in price. well, for the ones i go to anyway... hoem depot, used to be 9.99. nows its like 13 bucks... city mill has them in quarts only... like 4 bucks a quart...

Yes, I've been experimenting w/ Octane since about 2000 and have used it extensively in tuning my 02 WRX and been using it in my 04 STI since I got it. No problems at all. However, my neighbors think I'm nuts when they see me mixing a haz mat 5 gallon drum in my garage. LOL
