76 Kailua - $2.61/gal
i always buy in kaneohe next to work...
passed by kailua 76 tonight.... 2.61!!! since i usually fillup w/12.5 gallons... thats 32 bucks!
its only a matter of time before we hit 3 bucks....
can someone clearly and legitimately explain why gas prices change EVERY week?
maybe you military guys can give us some real insight to this gas conspiracy?? (the ones that seen our liquid gold overseas)
and yes i'm being a crybaby. i might have to actually garage by car(and weekend it) and buy a civic....

Man, Greg. I remember a few years ago when gas was like 1.90/gal for premium and I thought THAT was expensive. I also remembered going to the Big Island that year and saw premium going for as much as 2.21/gal and was shocked. Now, 2.21/gal here would be a blessing.

On base its 2.37 for premium I see it like this when America decides to get smart and make gas companies charge the same prices all over the U.S. then this will no longer be a problem. But until then its only gonna get higher since they no they can charge that much since (1) where on an island (2) thats the price you pay for living in paridise. :P
Or you guys can do like i do and run 87 octane and say who cares

^^ Yup, yesterday I saw an Aloha truck leaving Costco.
Mario (if you weren't kidding)- I forget what mag did a test, but they found that by running 87 in a stock WRX it lost like 30-40hp. The ecu retarded timing, etc. to prevent knocking. So for me, I say no to 87, and yes to V-Power.

The hell with paying $3.00 a gal if I plan on driving around town. I've put **** mogas in my tank just because I got it free. Never knocked once.
