60K Service?
I'm coming up on 60K and I was wondering if it is worth it to take it to the dealer for that service.
I normally do my own work but I'm not expert on everything on the car so I would feel better if someone took a look at the car at this point. Also, there are things that should be done at 60K that I'm too lazy to do, like replacing the coolant and brake fluid.
Should I take it to Servco to have the work done? If so, about how much will it cost and will they overwrite my custom flash? If not, where should I take it? Thanks for the input/advice.

60k is easy. Just make sure you have a wobbly plug socket, another wobbly, a short and a long extension and the plugs go easy. Buy some speed bleeders and some ATE superblue fluid from raceshopper and the brake flush is easy. (I buy a can of the regular ATE at the same time. It's the same stuff, just gold so flushes are a no brainer.)
The rest is just drain and fill IIRC. Definitely use Uncle Scottys cocktail in the tranny.

I did my 60k, found the manual online. Took a day with some beer breaks and bull****ting with friends. Spark plugs are easy. Everything is easy. i think I spent maybe 250-300 iirc and the shop wanted 700. Saved money for more beer.

I'd use OEM Subaru Extra-S Gear Oil, it's what they put in the factory STi's.
Uncle Scotty's blend was for cars that had worn syncros and or bad fluid in the past.
If ur interested in the oil lab test:
