Not really...some SE models from 89-93 came with it as an option.

Well....I was thinking of doing the same thing. I thought it would be cheaper since I wouldn't have monthly payments. Maybe Nate is just trying to do something different. I'm gonna have to sell my car soon...

SCSI thanks a lot, but I didn't need that picture. I need one of it from a little farther back and level with the sill. If you could do that I would owe you big time. Sorry you tore your carpet up. I just needed to see if there are these two lines on the car. I think this one I am looking at may have had the door sills replaced and if that is the case I don't want it.

As far as why I am selling my STi I can no longer afford to maintain it and my other cars. I am in the process of swaping an entire '04 STi powertrain into my '98 RS. I am moving all of the mods that I can over to the RSTi. Then I am putting the APS '00 STi FMIC on my RS and possibly the APS DR65 turbo and shooting for 500 WHP when I get the car tuned. I will be able to maintain a car I only have to make $200 a month payments on much better than I can with my STi right now. I will be getting a 240 SX coupe and if I find a running one I will just add LSD and a decent suspension and have fun with it. I may keep my STi if it is stock just to race in the stock Autocross class, but that is only if I can get my debt worked out.

So do all of the 240 Coupe have seams where there are two pieces of metal welded together on the door sills? SCSI's does for sure.

It was good fun with Solberg, it just sucked that he couldn't have given more rides. I haven't lost my STi yet.
