20lbs of boost in my poor RS

That's right.
I hit 20lbs today, in third gear. Felt like a 400HP V8.
Pinned me to my seat. Literally.
It was quite an amazing experience.

It was however totally on accident. I wasn't looking at the boost gauge and hadn't noticed that I blew the fuse that powers some accessories (including the boost controller) when I shorted out my power supply. I glanced up as I was stuck to the seat just to catch high numbers on the boost gauge.

WOW

never do that again.
Lots of pinging.

Dude,

You can't be doing that! Any update with the WB? That thing's an engine saver.

Take your time. It's not as if I can do anything with it so it's best in the the hands of an electrician-smart person.

I think my current situation says that I may very well go Sat...and maybe Fri, too. I've got a lotttttt of courage to build up, though. If this tranny goes, or even if the rear diff goes, I might just pull into my own little cocoon and start slobbering.

The new toy is in. I just need one little bit of info and some time to go do some pulls. I'll keep y'all updated.

Your boost controller is not connected right. When boost controller is off, you should run wastegate spring pressure, not max boost. Check all your vaccum lines.

It would take a pretty crappily designed EBC in my opinion to not have a failsafe in case the unit wasn't functioning properly.

Thats sorta where Im at now. I just havent had time or someone else in the car to help me try and figger it out. I really thought with it turned off I could get wastegate boost, but I guess not.

... and so should Dom.
Dom, you are Very fortunate that nothing bad happened when you hit 20lbs!! I have seen and heard of things 'blowing' with much less boost, even in a 'stronger' stock motor!

I hope you guys get things worked out!
