http://jalopnik.com/5507212/2011-sub...mologated-fury

looks like a regular **** car from the back... i am dissapointed.

...but did you notice on the shots of the 2011 red wrx the screen in the back had a countdown to the reveal of "the fastest sti ever" ...? wonder what the specs will be...

I'm with you. Meh pretty much sums up how I feel. And now that we know there's no dramatic increase in performance, again it has to be said: Why would you pay almost 5000-6000 more for the STI over the WRX? Save the wing, the look exactly the same now, and the WRX is inching ever so closely to the STI in terms of performance.

I'm with you, I was hoping for a whole lot more...

So your saying the WRX and the STi didnt look the same before? (02-07) I see what you mean though with the 08-10 between a STi Hatch only and a WRX Sedan. I think this will help Subaru sell more STi's, I know people who wouldnt buy one JUST because it was a hatch.

I'm glad they brought a sedan back. It'll give the 08-10 owners something all of the 04-05 and 06-07 owners have. A difference from the other STi's more exclusive laddat.

I'm ok with it but still waiting for a better engine. Something at least at the same tech level that mazda is putting in a cheaper car.

Am I the only one that thinks that thing looks amazing! I could see a super sexy WRB and gold.

...but on a more somber note, I will probably never buy a STi that doesn't have forged internals.

I am not impressed because that is what Subaru should have offered back in 08'. They finally have made up for the soft springs/dampers and roll stiffness plague by the 08'-10's. I'm not going to get excited about Subaru 'meeting their standard' (if that). With direct injection being introduced in other makes, they are easily pushing 260hp/260ft-lbs out of a 2.0l. And suspension tweaks can easily be incorporated the following model year. Today Subaru welcomed us to 2008 like it should have been; nothing more.

Yuck. I'll take the hatch over the sedan any day. The sedan blows, but it might grow on me like all the other sti's did.

You know after thinking about it, I totally forgot and agree that the GD STIs looks almost exactly the same as the regular WRXs save the wing(s for 06-07) and rear fender flares.

Still, the performance has never been this close...
