For the SE since it is a limitied production car it is only a SOA model. If we wanted to have us make a limited model we would have to make a min order of 50 of them (which would no longer be a limited model if we flood that here in hawaii) we also dont have the commitment that we can sell 50 of the SE packages here.
so if we can get a list of 50 ppls with deposit then we can get this going LOL

Definitely agree with shiroikage. The 2011 STi looks really good. Plus its performance is supposed to be much better than all previous models. If money allowed I'd also get the 2011 STi sedan.

If you want to buy a Suby from the mainland especially one not carried buy SOH. Check out Joe Spitz @ Carter Subaru in Seattle. He will guide you through the process to buy and ship a Suby to Hawaii. In most cases pricing with shipping is the same if not cheaper than buying locally.
here is some info I got a few years ago when I was in market for a 2008 Forester XT sports (last of the best looking foresters IMO)

I just talk to Joe Spitz the other day and his prices are as follows:
invoice - 300 - current rebate + any options + shipping to hawaii = $XX,XXX.XX
which brings my quote for a 08 Forrester XT Sports to $27,526 shipped to Hawaii. this quote is not even including the current rebate of $500 so it only gets better.
Sorry **** not underminding you but blame your dealer for not bringing in the Sports model.
Now for the bad news (but not in my book) he will have to special order the model I want and it will take 8 weeks. To me 8 weeks is no problem considering i get what i want at a price that is already great now beat that! and all i have to do is be patient.

if we can get the models yes we will be the better deal (as long as you come see me) but if it isn't a model we carry then there is nothing we can do about it.
Tho these new sti arent gonna be discounted right off the back ya know. (gotta wait a little while b4 we can drop price) and to ship from cali to here is now $1200.00
one other thing and this is good for you guys to know.... if you bring in a car that we dont carry chances are we will NOT have the special parts for that car if you damage something ex: 08 xt sport.... we dont carry the rims if you damaged it or any other special item that goes with the car and will require longer wait and down time if you need to wait for parts. just giving you guys the heads up

CARTER Subaru (aka Allsubaru.com) is in North Seattle and about 10 miles from the docks. Shipping is about $1k and you don't have to pay sales tax (but you do have to pay HI). My friend, however, didn't have to pay sales tax because the DMV overlooked it.
