Stopped by this afternoon to take a peek. Looks sweet! WRB rules! Didn't think I'd like the grill, but it looks better in person than in pics we've all seen. The jury is still out though on that diffuser thing over the back windshield. And the price is still around the same (little over 33K).

i SEEN IT! i actually love the front end... as skeptical as i was....
looks very good. i called everyone .. and only Ty answered(sorta)
the rear air diffuser(mini spolier) looks nice... and it's SOLID!

i got my pants all dirty looking underneath... there are "skid plates" underneath- i know thats not what they are... it's those air thingys.. to make airflow smoother.
there is also an air smoother outer thingy underneath(like a rear valance/spoiler)anyone play Forza? like that

the rims are different (still BBS) - just a more beefier look. interior is pretty much the same. the mini radiator by the turbo has a plastic cover(not sure if 05 has it)

the ABS looks a little bit revised, as i seen the hardlines(part of em anyway) near the turbo(versus intake area)

the endlinks, control arms(trailing?) look beefier too. looks like they are wrapped in something....
oh.. the tailamps... yeah are still kinda gay.. but does not look too rice...
i sopke to chris... and from what the "rumor" is .... . . . .. that the MY06 is underated... i'm guessing maybe in the ballpark of 320+(or hoping)<--don't quote me on that....... this may be wishful thinking of a more aggressive ECU

all this info is pure subjective material. and don't mind my lack of proper terms.. i'm excited.... just go see for yourself

yup. actually only 5 came in on monday. 3 were steel grey and they do look better in person for sure. 1 sold that night.

the front end has grown on me but the tail lights and trunk badging are ugly as hell. don't really like the look of the roof spoiler thingy either.

i like the the smaller scoop too.

Went to see it yesterday and I have to admit that I was drooling a bit. I'm still not a huge fan of the grill, but it does look better in person. Does the smaller hood scoop allow for more air flow??? I was wondering why they would change that on the 06 if not for that reason.

The 04 is going to be a classic........1st year in the U.S., only one of its kind. I think it's crazy that they have changed the sti every year since it came to the states, but it definitely shows that Subaru keeps getting better and better.

bottom line (imho) in regards to physical appearance changes.... it's all about marketing. sure they make things "flow" more smoothly.. but they have to... just to make sure the new designs don't flaw "what already works".
