2004 wrx-white smoke
i bought a 2004 wrx brand new from waipahu subaru. so far i have added a pde down pipe, cusco catch can, hks bov, gounding system, intake, turbo timer, back and front sways and struts, hks coilovers, short shifer, guages, and a sti exhaust. right now i have 27xxx miles on it and i think my basic warranty ends in january.
first of all i have white smoke coming out of my exhaust. i dont think the white smoke is from the humidity from the air because its a lot of smoke (white) and i leave my car in the garage. the thing is that it only it comes and goes once or twice a day. one day while i was driving, i noticed that my check light went on and noticed i was low on oil, therefore i filled it and it was all good but this is when smoke thing happened. im not too sure if its a piston ring that is cracked or something is wrong with my engine because the smoke is white. i thought if the smoke is white it should be coolant, but my coolant level never dropped at all.
if you folks could help me i would like to find out:
1) where is the best place to get a diagnostic test for this and cost?
2) do i have to remove all the parts i put on to claim warranty on engine (including the suspension)?
3) does anyone else have this problem with their car?
4) where is the best place to take it for warranty?
i would appreciate any help you could give me, thanks

hmm, i wonder if the smoke will still show up after putting back catalytic converters... if not you might have to leave that part out when talking to the dealers ...

white smoke could also be coolant. check your radiator to see if it's still full. also do a search on the sub as it has beed brought up many times and google is your friend. if your low on coolant and oil then worst case your headgasket is going but i dought after so little miles. if all else fails have it checked out.
