I can speak Japanese, but I am far from fluent. There are not a lot of things that come up in brief conversations or daily life I don't understand; however, anything more in depth than 5 mintues of conversation I get sort of lost in. I can get the just of the conversation, but that is about it. I am still working and improving and one day I hope to be literate in Japanese. I can read hiragana and katakana which are easy, but kanji is a *****. I know about 100 of 1,700 essential kanjis. I ****ing hit my head on damn near every doorway here. IT sucks!

Life is great, this is the good life. I sure miss everyone from Hawaii and I can't wait to get back for a visit and maybe live there again sometime. Not until there is a badass track at least. I am so sick of living where there are no tracks. I am still working for an IT contracting company keeping the USMC Communications systems up and running. I haven't done much racing in the last few months as I have been in and out of the country and when I have been back my car hasn't been working right. We also have no real tracks on the island I live on, so nothing very exciting race wise happens. There are a few good roads here and there, but safety is always a concern. My wife has no interest in the track. I might get her up there to have some fun after she pops my son out in April.

So you work for an american contractor? I assume that makes the language barrier less of a problem. Does your wife speak english then?
Yeah I figured that none of the buildings out there are built for Ogre-Sized people like you
Good to hear you're doing good brother...next time you're in the mid-west let me know...we can try to hook up.

Sounds good Nate,
What kind of jobs can one get in Japan? I think it would be great to live and work in Japan. I will be in Tokyo from 12/9 - 1/6. It will be my first visit to Japan.....I may not come back.

sucks to hear man. still the car seems in good condition and with a brand new sti motor in there it would still total well under 10k. not bad for an sti kinda funny that the motor badge is one of the chunks to come off.

For 10K I could get a V7 STI. There is no way I will be spending much more on another stock STI engine. The wife is pissed because I also blew her 5MT in the Turbo Forester the same day.
