05 STI suspension?

05 STI suspension?
Anyone have any suggestions for 05 STI struts? I was running HKS hypermax on my 02 wrx but now that I have the 05 STI, don't really have that much in choices for coiliovers. Teins or Cusco that's about it. I was thinking of the Teins want to be able to have a decent ride and be able to drop it a concederable amount. I don't auto cross but do go to tracks to drag. Or I guess I can wait for more options, the 05 suspension is great as it is just wish it were lower than it already is. Thanks guys

most 04 drop springs should work, i have an 05 and im using 04 espelir asd springs, seems stiffer than s techs while having a similar drop. i had th same problem, i was searching and searching for answers til i finally tried 04 stechs but got rid of them cuz i thought they were too soft.

Just so that you know...and FYI
05 suspension is NOT meant to use springs... If you do it wrong you can bend your stock endlinks causing some considerable problems with your suspension setup.
Just thought I'd let you guys know since you're looking for options
This has already happened to the STI that was in the car show (Silver STI that has a big *** STI sticker on it)

yes as jon said, plan on upgrading your endlinks regardless of what you use to drop your car. I personally know of 3 STis that broke their stock endlinks after they dropped the cars.

accordingly I think (my personal feelings) is that subaru did that on purpose. If you look at the rear suspension on the 05 model it has been dramatically changed from the 04 as far as strength goes. However they still have those ridiculously small endlinks on there. I think that was done on purpose to determine if a car has been modified or not.

yes... replace you rendlinks or they will snap when droped. happend to jeeds already and make sure that when you drop the rear of the car down that the sway goes up toward the car and not down or else the endlinks will snap also or bend the after market ones.

If I recall correctly it is recommended to replace the entire strut.
however I think you'll be ok if you replace the springs/swaybar and endlinks together at the same time

juniorsti - Just a though to consider... what is your upgradings for?
if you do upgrades to your suspension but leave the WEAKEST part stock what does that do for you other than make more problems later down the line? If you have a plan stick to it! if you upgrade suspension parts like RSB and springs should you also upgarde the IMPORTANT piece that is connected to the RSB?
Just something to think about.

^^^ watch those crooked driveways man. those may bend your endlinks.
Prodrives don't have a super agressive drop so you MAY be Ok. But I would have a set ready anyway as a precaution.

^^oh crap i think i know what ur talking about. i just remembered that on some driveways my swaybar seems to act funny but very rare. it only started after i put he swaybar on. it didnt do it with the stock swaybar and a drop. it makes noise as i go up a driveway...
