'05 2.5RS vs. GC8

For those of you "in-the-know", would a new 2.5RS, with similar mods, keep up with a GC8 on the autox track? I believe the new RS's are heavier, but are there any other changes that might make the new RS a "dog" compared to it's older brother? Anyone know peeps with modded new RS's?

Despite the stiffer chassis, I would think that there are no real upgrades that would set apart the newer RS to the GC8/GM6 style. You're right, russ...the newer RS is heavier (why do you think the STi had a 300hp motor???

So because of the weight difference alone, it would be kind of impossible to duplicate the feats of heroism that you and Jason accomplished with your GC8's, right Joe?

Bwahahaha. It may be possible...but then again...Jason and I have upgraded brakes, suspension and tires. If you plan to do those kinds of modifications, I don't see why you couldn't be like me and Jay. LOL
