04 sti p0244 help

04 sti p0244 help

so today i was driving and in 4th gear i floored the gas and it took it up to 45k and it threw a cel code p0244 which said turbocharger soleniod a.....does anybody no the cure for this?

^^^overboosting? Last time i got that i was running a bigger tmic and it pinched my wastegate hose in half keeping her shut. check yer hoses!

all hoses are ok but i have a dom3.0xtr do u think i need to adjust the wastgate?

What is your peak psi setting? Do you have a boost gauge to show if youre getting any spike? And is this only at WOT?

well boost spike in a nutshell is when youre creating boost and it "spikes" momentarily above your optimal psi setting, then later settles back down. for example when i was boost spiking my peak psi was set at 16.5. When i was at WOT when my boost built it shot violently way over 16, more like 20 to 23 psi, then it would bounce back down to 16, then spike back up , then down.

oh ok..its not doing that it builds boost correctly but wen i get into higher gears higher boost it cuts out

do you know what psi itll start to do cut at? Is your ecu custom tuned? If it is youre probably better off consulting your tuner.

Not sure of my boost peak is would u happen to have matt from benchmark tunnings number?
