*Question About Coolant*

quick question - i just flushed my engine coolant today because it was beyond dirty x2!! i flushed with Carquest 10 min flush then added Carquest anti rust and water pump lubricant additive to the Prestone coolant. Was it a good idea to add extra fluids? obviously it's too late...

you have an over flow tank so anything extra will just end up there.

Nobody really seems to use that stuff.... i just use straight up coolant, but you pretty much put something like (pic) this in there IF it was made for aluminum parts. i wouldnt have used the lubricant tho...

^ the lubricant was already mixed in with the anti-rust liquid. the color came out milky white which diluted the coolant. by adding this already, it won't hurt anything right?

if worst comes to worst, should i drain and redo?

Main thing you didn't put straight coolant into your cooling system. You have to put at least a 50/50 mixture of coolant & water. Unless there was corrosion in your system, you really don't have to use the flush additive.

LOL thats what i meant, i fugured most knew it should be mixed with distilled water.... tap water and bottled water will cause corrosion as well....
