**Beer Drinkers Thread**

Hey guys,

I've been on island for 2 years. I absolutely love it. BUT, where can I find GOOD beer. I don't drink liquor at all. I'm very big on beer. I like it all, and I'm willing to try it all. So this is where I'm stuck. I don't mean good like Guiness, Sam Adams, Kirin or Blue Moon good, but a good quality micro brew. I'm not local here, so I don't know any of the "spots", if any at all. I've looked in several liquor stores for some, and obviously your run in the mil gas station wont have it. Is this something I'm gonna have to source on-line? I really hope not. I know someone has got to know. I also attached an example of the style and quality beer (not brand specific) I'm looking for. So if you know...spread the wealth.

-Josh-

Erica stop working and post here
Shes been too tons of micro brew places around the world.
I know there is a local place but it is cheaper to order online.
A friend of Es is a airline steward and brought her back a nice mixed stock of Chimay directly from the homeland. And last time I was at her place I saw some dogfish head hidden behind the bar

Hawaii isn't a good place to find good pubs but if you must, I found that Kona at Koko Marina is great. You will have to ask the waitress what they recommend though to your taste or else you'll have to get stuff on tap. Brew Moon is also a great place if you want real beer(German). Some people love Murphy's. Pretty good brews but even better food.

I like getting PMs marked "urgent" to post on beer threads.....

Kona BC & Brew Moon are passable if you just want something dif to drink with your burger. I think Maui Brewing company is far better than either of these places and have more interesting flavors like coconut porter.
If you do not want to order online drop by Liquor Collection (in Ward), they have a good worldly selection with OK prices.
I rarely drink but when I do I like the good stuff, I guess.

Please post it up if you find something you really like!

i stand corrected about the yard house. Actually the last time i was there, i was a little too buzzed to care what i drank. But normally, i'd rather just chill and enjoy a nice quality beer.

on my recent trip i had the chance to drink beer from a few diff countries and if you can find it "salva vida" (iirc) is a pretty good beer. i think it really just depends on the person. i'm pretty happy with a pacifico but you may want something more exotic. i think we should send a message to the hike guys and start a HIIC weekly beer club! who's with me?

Now we're talking! Starbucks is cool and all, but I'd rather kick back and try some new brews. I was heavily into beers when the microbrew explosion hit, but there was way too much rubbish to wade through to find the good stuff, so I gave up.
