I ended up using Black ABS. I was going to make it out of whatever metal stock I could find in the machine shop. Instead I got lazy and printed it on a 3D printer. That this is awesome.

What kind of 3D printer? If it is the ABS kind (dimension), I don't think it will last that long unless you sand it smooth and you printed as solid.

I personally don't like the cylinder style shifters. They aren't comfortable IMO.

agree. i have a cobb **** which feels great in hand, but still miss my arc shifter on my bugeye...

Yes. I think it is a dimension. I printed it solid, tapped it afterwards. So far so good. I definetly am paying attention to see how it holds up.
