The tension rods need to be taken out, looks like it isn't sitting flush because of them.

The trunk is made by Treble Racing. No, they don't make one for the wagon.

Oh, nice!
The hatch one doesn't look like it would be as cool looking. Looks almost like there isn't enough carbon showing or something, but it's probably just me.

Correct, the tension rods prevent it from seating completely. However, measures were taken to ensure a slightly closer fit in production models. Even still, the trunk seals completely over the oem weatherstripping to prevent any rain or water from entering. Without the tension bars the trunk will not stay open on it's own. And with one tension bar removed, the trunk closes at an angle.

Another neat thing... the trunk retains all the holes to re-install the oem inner carpet lining for a super clean look.

The Treble Racing carbon trunk pictured actually includes the rear strip that houses the license plate lamps. That's probably why it looks like it contains more carbon. Also, this trunk is vacuum infused, meaning it weighs less than a standard hand-laid carbon fiber part. Oh, and it's made entirely here in the USA!
