What type of Intake does your N/A Subaru have?
#16
Modified stock. I put my scoop to use, the thing is LOUD from 1/2 throttle up. I even used some of my highschool education to figure out the surface area of the normal intake hole to get the same ammount of area out of the holes. Math is neat!

meebs, I would increase those hole sizes about 50% if I were you... The stock intake track hole isnt very big, thats why some folks modify it to 3" for the PDM/Ganzflow intakes. Might help a tad, but thats a nifty idea for sure.
I should probably get a pic of my modified airbox, changed the opening on my MAF airbox from like 2" to 3.5" and cut the fender a little to fit it

I've got the JC sports intake on my 98. Since I just picked this car up, I didn't put the intake on the car. I've been wondering how well the JC intake compares to other offerings? Also, does the JC intake lead to any lean spots in the fuel curve? I remember the old SCC intake test for the RS where they needed to add lots of fuel in the high end to avoid a lean condition. That was a 99, does this apply to 98's as well?

I thought about making them a little bigger. As it is right now the surface area of those 12 holes is equal to the area of the normal one. But bigger couldn't hurt I suppose.
