Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Surprisingly good gas mileage on 2.2L

Driving from WA to CA, on I-5 (hills) with the AC on the entire time I got about 32-34 MPG. I was AMAZED. I usually get about 25mpg just driving around town. What do other 2.2's get? I have a WRX axleback and a K&N filter with 10w40 oil.

I am typically at 26 for city and 29 for Highway.
I occassionally break 30 mpg but need to keep the cruising speed down (I think the 2.2's engine is best @ 3000 RPM or below for gas mileage-personal opinion though).

K&N filter
#6 NGK plugs
5W-30 oil

Lots of heavy stereo gear and sound deadening reducing my mileage.
