Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Well, the 5 or 6 top-end ponies you get from a cat-back are smog legal... do those count?

Not enough, and you can still get pulled over and fined.

Either avoid getting pulled over, or dont do it at all.

You'll only get pulled over if you have a stupid loud ricer Honda-wannabe exhaust like Blitz or Apex. Stuff like Stromung doesn't really get bad attention, and anything after the cat is carb legal as long as it has a "muffler-type device", and you also have to meet the seperate municipal (local) exhaust noise statutes. Totally seperate from emissions regs.

I think they're give you the shaft if they want to.

The law states that your exhaust has to be under 100 decibles or something to that nature.

Basicly you need to have open headers to violate this law.

Everything else is illegal. But if you have stuff inside the engine they can't really get you, ie Cams and such.

It's just kind of illegal.

Its 98 decibles, and you dont need open headers to violate it, and nobody really measures it you just get a ticket.

But I agree with BAN SUV's, its the nutty LOOKING exhausts that get you pulled over, not the loudest exhausts.
