The H6 will fit in all late model Subarus. It was designed to be put in the legacy, which was designed for the EJ25 primarily. The H6 (EZ30 I believe) is only slightly larger.

I second that. The H6 is a disappointing engine compared to just about every V6 out there (and pretty damn sluggish, though that could be the automatic transmission), and both the 2.0T and the newer STi or even the detuned Forester/Baja 2.5T will outperform it.

i guess the h6 suck ***
but between 2.0 and 2.5 which one better.?
i am gonna rebuilt this 2.0t h4 anyway

I can't speak for the new 3.0ltr H-6 that subaru makes... I have a SVX though and it has the biggest engine that Subaru has made to date... 3.3ltr H-6.... The power is really nice and smooth from it... Gobbs of torque... Excellent Midrange power!!!! If you want an H-6, this is the engine for ya!!!

The new H-6 (dubbed EZ-30, i believe?!?!) is chain driven, as opposed to belt driven. It also has a pretty heavy duty internal bearing arrangement, and some high tech flow tweaks. More good news is also that it is only about and inch and a half (maybe two inches) deeper than the EJ2X series. The only really bad news, that I see, is the fact that it is about 100 lbs. heavier than the EJ2X engine. I like the presence of the EZ-30 in the Subaru engine line-up, BECAUSE with its chain drive, and tough internal arrangement, I think that this MAY be the Subaru enthusiast's answer to the monster Supras, Skylines, Mustangs, Vipers, and Vettes...if 700-1000 horsepower drag machines are yer cup 'o tea, that is...

Hmm??
How about an H-6 in a Forester?? I wonder what the fitment issues would be?
Add a few little things like an intake, exhaust, etc. and have more HP than a stock Forester XT.

Subaru I think in the 04s maybe 05s will be uping the EZ30 by 47HP to put it at about 250-260HP range
not bad considering this is Subaru's therd stab at a six cyclinder engine
