Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

sensor in airflow in 94 EJ18

what is this sensor in between my intake hose and my filter? does it have anything to do with emissions testing or the CEL?
( forgive me, im a newbie to Subarus, what with all the questions)
what would happen if i take it off?

im just a 1.8 with STi dreams

Thats the MAF (mass air flow sensor) No, you can not remove it, it is critical to the cars function.
