So i just threw on my track pipe on my car and im a bit dissapointed.
I am running a borla header, a wrx exhaust without the resonator, and a dual glass pack muffler. before I installed the track pipe i had a nice bassie tone all the way thru the powerband. after i installed the track pipe I have a very loud rasp starting at 2500rpm under heavy load all the way up... loud to the point where im embarrased when it happens..
I ordered a 27" round thrush muffler... do you all think this will cure my rasp? or would the only two solutions be breaking down and buying a top doller axle back? or there is no cure that will retain a high flow profile and if i dont like it i should just bolt the stock cats back in place?

muffler got here seems about the right lenght... cant wate to throw it in... guess it will have to wate till the weekend when i can get my hands on the welder!

very odd.. Im getting geared up to go on a road trip and i figgued it would be polite to my passengers to put the baffles into my muffler so we can actully have a conversation in the car.. the odd thing is the car feels alot more peppy now. Maby it is the placebo power happening because you dont hear the engine working so hard. but i think that little bit extra back pressure gives it a bit more kick!
