Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

well, adding a bigger throttle body will increase the rev which gives you more power in the high end i guess. But the larger compression ratio piston WILL give you more power.

what is this reflash from i-speed? i've been shopping around for some kind of upgraded ecu. it seems like my only options are the proecm, or the scoobyracing torque chip II. my car is a 98 rs. any suggestions. right now i have injen intake w/ maf adapter, borla header, and stromung catback. with these mods, i am running stock times. I think my clutch is ok, so ECU would be my next guess to help smooth things out. little help here, please.

 I'm not sure what you're talking about here, but a larger throttle body won't increase your rev limiter or increase static compression.

Anyone here done the TB bypass mod? If so what are your impressions?

...And what size fitting do you use to connect the tubes / do you plug up the holes where they connect to the TB?

TB bypass mod is one of the easiest mods you'll do. As to the performance part, i don't know. I did it this past summer. Gains were minimal. However, i think winter is the season where you'll see the best gains. i think it is a 3/8 inch coupler, but i could be very wrong. do a search on here about it. just leave the holes open.

easy mod worth doing...especially if you just got bored and need something to work on like me...

Just did the mod last night and left the holes open. The brass coupler was a 3/8'' that I got from Lowes. So far when driving to school this morning I felt little or no gain... really hard to tell. I'm hoping for a really cold day so maybe I'll see a difference, also might try ECU reset maybe it will do something.

i used the proecm for about 2 months, once the weather got cold it fouled out my plugs and ran like crap. I had to remove it.
