impreza Brighton, gayest impreza made to date??

impreza Brighton, gayest impreza made to date??
SO i was reading up on some specs for the Subaru Impreza Brighton made between '95 and '97. Stock they come with a 1.8L N/A engine pushing only 110 hp and 110 ft/tq at 4400rpms
...and i drive one, they may be an Impreza and the AWD comes in handy but i mean come on why would they even make such a weak motor if Impreza's have such a huge reputation as sport cars that are fast???

imprezas and subaru in general aren't only known for being fast and sporty. Outside of the tuner world subaru is known for being safe, not speed. Are all Lancers fast?
