Gtech HP results

Hey guys, i tried my new Gtech for the 1st time last nite, i only tested the HP though, here are my results, i was rather impressed for a N/A, all numbers are ATW

1st run: 106 HP
2nd run: 114 HP
3rd run: 111 HP

Im taking the HP as 111 HP as it seems to be the average, though did have another person in the car with me, i'll try it again another time by myself and when the air is a bit cooler.

Its a 92' legacy N/A 2.2L. only mods are 2.25" cat-back and intake, why do you say the HP is inaccurate?

I hear the gtechs get cloes for 1/4 mile but the hp #'s are not usually anything that accurate.

111 doesnt seem like itd be far off for a 92 2.2. what were those rated at? ive seen g-tech numbers for rs's at around 120 stock and i just saw cobbs dyno chart for the rs and it gave 126 hp.

Those results are rated at the wheels, i believe they come out with 145hp stock at the flywheel/engine, so no it doesnt seem far off, can anyone convert 111hp ATW to engine HP?

Those HP numbers sound about right, although i don't really know. When you try the skidpad test out, tell me what your G's ended up being.

The legacy with the 2.2 has 135 at the crank.

Are you using the newer Pro Competition meter? The manual says that the HP numbers are not quite wheel HP but definitely not crankshaft HP. Also, be sure to use an accurate number for your vehicle weight. This should be taken into account when a passenger rides along.

The thing to remember when comparing to power figures from another source is that it's difficult to even compare the results from two different types of AWD dynamometers, let alone an in-car meter. It's a tool best used to compare results to that of other G-Tech meters or just to see what the effects of changes to your car will make.
