Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Ganzflow cel

I followed the directions on imprezars.com and installed a (i guess the latest generation) ganzflow cai into my 01' rs. I reset the ecu as they instructed and everything went well until this morning. I was driving on the highway and then suddenly I noticed the cel went on.

Now I'm wondering if this is normal... Is there anything I can do to get rid of the cel, or does it automatically go away?

Also, the big hole (in the fender) that the stock intake used is still open and unused by the ganzflow, I'm wondering if I should close that off, and with what?

oh shoot I forgot to mention the K&n air filter , I put them in at the same time. I'm going to go to autozone tomorrow to check out the cel code.

in the meantime, I'll pray that I didn't break anything while installing it.

P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)

that's what I found at autozone... the thing is I had this maybe two months ago, but eventually it went away. I'm not sure what the problem might be, I was just surprised it decided to come back after I installed the K&N filter and ganzflow cai....

I was thinking maybe it turned back on, because a few days ago it was rather warm, and suddenly it became freezing. The change in temperature might've caused severe condensation within the exhaust system? could that be it?

I really have no idea tho....
