Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Exhaust Advise.

If sound is the priority, get some Borla headers instead, since they are $150-200 cheaper than exhaust. If you really want a muffler instead, consider the Stromung. I think it's down to around $350-375 for the axle-back. Neither one by itself will do much for your power though.

Wink

Yep, Kostamojen has them on his L. I don't know if he made any mods to them (other than re-welding them after the usual cracking).

Ya, ive got the borla's along with a 2" midpipe with a WRX muffler. Sounds nice.

If I was just getting a muffler though, I'd get a magnaflow muffler and have it installed... I got a quote for around $140 for that from my local muffler shop. DDman has that muffler on his car and its nice and rumbly. He also has the borla headers, so its even more rumbly

BTW, if you have the EJ18, take off the intake silencer in the fender well. You will actually notice a power improvement if you do (as well as a deep mean sound)

You might consider a Magnaflow muffler. It's around $100 in stainless steel, cheaper than that in aluminized steel.

You actually only have to remove like one of the tabs to get the silencer out, one of the ones under the bumper so that you can just pull the silencer out through the opening.
