Drivetrain or AWD problem or other???
Okay I have a 93 Impreza L, I love this car and it has been admirable in all sorts of inclement weather, especially snow. But I've noticed that it is really sluggish to go again from a idle (stopped at intersections) it used to have a decent get up and go feel to it, I had the clutch replace aprox a year ago and it seems to drive a little different since... could the replacement have caused damage to some integral component of the AWD or drivetrain, or could it be a problem with the exhaust, I do know the exhaust pipe needs to be replaced.

When I am at an idle and I need power to get into traffic or get into a position so I can make a lane change in tight traffic I'll punch the accelerator and where in the past I could immediately feel a little power pushing the car, it seems more like gradual acceleration... I'm up to date on my tune ups and put in a new air filter a few months ago. Could it be an injector problem?? I've recently started to make sure to use higher octane gas again when prices went down.

Your engine should be fine on 87. Only switch if you notice knock. There are a lot of things can can alter responsiveness. Try replacing your plugs, wires, and 02 sensor with really good stuff. May not solve the problem, but it will be worth doing Anyway. NGK copper plugs, OE oxygen sensor, and if you feel spendy, Magnecor wires. Putting a bottle of injector cleaner in your next tank won't hurt either. If none of that owrks, take it to a shop that you trust. It's too hard to diagnose the stranger, rarer problems over the internet.

Thank you for your help, BAN SUVs. I do want to have a full diagnostic done on it soon, it's just a matter of money, being a full time photo student doesn't leave a whole lot left. I did use an injector cleaner a couple of weeks ago, I try to use one every few months. with the tune up I just had done shoudn't the plugs have been replaced???
Maybe I'm being touchy about an aging vehicle, I just want to make sure of taking care of it properly. About 2 years ago I had a water pump and idler pulley go bad and the 1st place I had it taken to misdiagnosed the problem and it cost me the price of an ECM, the place I wanted the work done at was too full to even touch my car for a month. I guess I should have been forceful about not paying for the un-needed part but I was just so frazzled at having to rely on others for transport.
Again thank you.
