Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Lissen-up!

If you don't want your car down for a week while you wait with an open motor for your 're-grinds' to be returned... this is for you.

I have got a spare set of OEM cams for the 2.5 SOHC motor coming out of my car next Wednesday. I bought a set as back up that are being shipped today from Delta today with the re-grind complete.

Now there is no dowm time while you have your OEMs ground at Delta.

When you get the OEM cores from the person ahead of you, send them to Delta for the regrind with the payment (Credit Card or Pay Pal). It is a one day turn around and $71.50 a stick (x2) plus shipping (standard UPS is about $7).

It's very simple really (and NO Delta does NOT want to be the middleman for the cores).

I pull my OEM's out when I install next week and ship to #2 in line. When he gets them, he sends them off right away to Delta. When he pulls his OEM's from the re-grind install, he ships his cores to #3. String unbroken... at the end, I get the last guys OEM cores back as my spares.

At this point I started this on RS25.com last week and I have the next two in line. If you do this right, for each person will be a span of 7-10 days! So, should be pretty easy to time when you will be getting your cores shipped to you by the guy in front.

I will update where the floating set is at all times and where they are in that person is in the install process.

So, PM me if you are on board with this... and yes, your welcome!

delta cams

Do you have any detailed procedures that explain how to remove the cams quickly?

I want to be a part of the chain, but want to be able to r/r the cams quick so the next guy don't have to wait.

give me a link so I can look it over.

Thanks,

T

Your on it Turbo Dog. It's a win, win. I am only doing it for the two forums I am on the most ~ I will get scammed or burned on Nabisco. Don't trust a soul over there, until they prove me wrong.

They change the lift/duration profiles to operate at a higher performance level. This is by removing material and changing the 'profile' by grinding and resurfacing. Call them and ask... they are very helpful. Can I go to bed now?

I hear you. But @ $71 a stick for even 10% (they claim 12%-15%) nets me 17 hp. Good bang for the buck in my book ~ my labor is stupid cheap for an employee at the dealership. So in they go, I say!

OHHH CRRAP!.

Wow, for a mod that good of a deal,.. the only thing thats bothering me is my extended warranty.

Does the regrinded camshafts save gas since its entering more air in the engine and more exhaust out..?

I was wondering the same thing. I love modding my car, but with high gas prices I would rather keep it from wasting gas.
