I have a 1999 2.2L coupe. I've been looking for Borla headers for it for a long time now and can't find any. A few months ago, there was a site where i found them for 229 dollars. Now, that site has changed and no longer sells them anymore. I shouldnt say i havent found any, i did find one site that sells them for like 400 bucks, which is ridiculous. Does anyone know where i can get them for less than 300? Thanks.

 

Does your car have single or dual ports? Dual ports are the same as for an RS. The single ports are available from any vendor that also sells the dual ports, but will cost a bit more. Maybe $20 difference.

 

No, the late model 2.2's were single port. Im just not sure whether it started in 98 or 99.

 

I have no idea how many ports my car has. I know it's 4 cylinder, 16 valve NOT SOHC. Thats about all i know. Sorry, anyone know more? Anyone know how i find this out?

 

pretty sure it started in 99, i have a 98 2.2l 16 valve

 

talk to sean at www.rallitek.com and he can hook you up, thats where I got mine and they were 260 or so (I dont remember exactly)

 

Hey thanks a lot white legacy (and everyone else). The cheapest i could find them anywhere else was like 400 bucks.

 

If you have a N/A engine, its SOHC. The only DOHC USDM engines are the 98 RS/Legacy 2.5 and the 02+ Turbo engines.

As far as what im saying about exhaust ports, I dont mean the valves. All EJ engines have 16 valves, but the late model EJ22's only have one exhaust port on each side of the engine (for a total of 2) while other EJ's have 2 on each side of the engine (for a total of 4), and these are the ports from the head that go into the headers, which means that if you have an engine with single ports like the late 2.2's you cant use the dual port headers.
