In a bit of a rut....exhaust decision
Well I am new to this forum, and so far it seems great! I have a 2000 2.5rs coupe and I would like to put headers and exhaust with the intake I am currently purchasing. That is all I plan on doing for performance modifications, the only thing is I want torque and horsepower without the noise. If anyone could point me in a good direction for headers and exhaust pipe, being on the quieter side that would be great. I have heard and seen cars that are just waaaay too loud, I want the power but not the noise! Thanks for any help and input.

How loud is too loud? You can have resonators installed on any exhaust system, or you could do something like use a WRX midpipe which has a very quiet resonator in there, and use a quiet muffler in conjuction with whichever header/cat combo you want... There are alot of options.

There isnt a cat in the midpipe. And too short isnt a big deal, it would need to have a flange or two rotated anyway, so having a shop add a few inches of 2.25" pipe is no big deal.
