Best place to buy Rings/Main and Rod Bearings???
Right now I'm in the process of rebuilding an ej251 that had a rod knock due to a bad rod bearing.
Now that the block is split and everything is out, I figured I might as well go all out and re-hone the cylinders, replace the piston rings and obviously all the rod and main bearings as well as a few seals and such etc.
Where is the best place to buy this stuff?
On subaruparts.com, rings, rod + main bearings and main seal come out to be 353 bucks before shipping (a bit more than I expected).
I found some acl oem size main and rod bearings for about 40 bucks and I'm curious if those would work as well? would save me a ton of cash.
thanks in advance

You should really get all your measurements before buying bearings, especially if there was rod knock.
It's worth the time (and cost of a micrometer set) for an engine that's properly blueprinted and assembled.
As for places to buy bearings, anyplace online works if you are positive of the application. I recommend finding a local shop that has an account with ACL to place an order once you know the size for sure.
