'99 Legacy Wagon Questions (rookie)
hello. this is my first time to the site. everyone seems pretty friendly...
i'm looking into buying a '99 Legacy Wagon with a 5 - speed. i'm not new to the performance game, although i'm not too familiar with subies yet. in just a few minutes of browsing here, i've seen different codes for different models and engines.
do aftermarket tuners make hi po heads, cams, etc for the 2.5 boxer engine? also, how does this generation 2.5 respond to turbocharging? are they still reliable?
i've had a mustang with 600 h.p., dodge glh turbo, vette, bike with 150 h.p. @ the wheel, and after a ride in a wrx i'm in love. i need a full wagon however, so i'm trying to figure out what can be done with these 2.5's.
thanks in advance for any help!

who are the top tuners for heads, cams, and especially turbos???
There are plenty of companies that can help you with a turbo setup. As I don't work for a company that sells any of these products, I'd be happy to share my opinion if you'd like.

new subie owner
i now own the car.
it's a '99 legacy gt wagon. leather + 5 speed.
new short block w/500 miles on it. the car currently has cat-back exhaust. has nobody ever made a reliable turbo kit for this 2.5? Are the head gaskets too weak to handle a turbo?
Help!!! I want to make this faster.
