4000 rpm hesitate
Does anyone elses 2.5rs feel like it hesitates at aroun 4,000 rpms under hard acceleration? I mean its not like major, but i can defentially feel it, and hear it. I donno i was just wondering, so any help would be nice. And if i were to get a air intake would it solve this? thanks.

there is a recall on the ecu. Bring the car back to the dealer and they will reprogram the ecu to current specs. Or call them to make sure your car is one of them.
I had mine done and it doesn't do it anymore.

TAKE IT TO THE DEALER!!! what are you guys blind?? trust me, I have done it and so have others..depending on the year of your car, or if you are the original owner, you should have gotton a letter in the mail regarding ecu reprogramming...call you dealer.

2000 is one of the years that was recalled for the reflash, but not all cars need it. Go to the dealer, they will look up your VIN and see if your car is in the recall. Mine was, and I did get the reflash. Semmed to help some, but that little flat spot is still there. It's just part of the car, had to get rid of, unless you go FI

i don't feel any kind of delay but try this: part throttle ur car so it climb slowly up the revs... as it pass 4000 the engine will get get rough but calms after u go there for longer. it kinda feels like when you let out your throttle on a low get ( smoothly) but i don't feel any delay in speed though

Here is an entire thread devoted to this topic http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=163092 apparently there is a simple inexpensive mod that you can do to fix the problem by simply cleaning up and making more earth points. Must Read!
