2.5l Low RPM stumble or Bucking?
I've got a 97 Legacy GT and at low rpm and higher gears it falls flat on it's face.
If im trying to pull from about 1krpm -1.8krpm in 3rd through 5th gear it just doesn't want to go. WOT will result in a really bad bog.
partial throttle will result in bucking.
If I do the same thing say over 2krpm it does it just fine.
Has anyone experienced this before?
I would expect it do do something similar below say 800 rpm.. it's just happening to high up in the RPM band for me.

If your car has a MAF sensor on the air intake pull the wires out and start the car. If it runs fine up to 4500rpms then it is the MAF. With wires pulled and still having same symptoms, not sure.

Well...the med-throttle to WOT thing at low RPM is NOT exclusive to the GT. It happens in anything that isn't severely worked over (ie: lots of torque). It's not a problem with your car...it's just more like user error. You're putting way too much load on the engine for it to do more than buck. Please don't do this to your car anymore--it really hurts the engine.
