1996 Subaru Impreza exhaust fitment....
My friend that lives next door to me is looking at getting a exhaust system, I looked under his car and noticed that the way his exhaust is routed (stock) looks exactly the same as my 2004 WRX, would a normal WRX exhaust system fit his car?

The catback is mounted almost the same, albiet there is one muffler hangar in a different position and the flange that connects the midpipe to the cat section is rotated differently. I have a stock WRX axle back on my car (with a custom 2" midpipe). However the downpipe/cat from the WRX is not compatible with the '96.
