Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Headers, catback, and a high flow cat will probably net you 15 hp. And the car will sound sweet.

I personally prefer Borlas with a Stromung catback. Search for both, you'll find lots of people that run them.

Thumbs up

i have the same car, and so far ive done, 11 lb flywheel, exedy clutch, intake,UD pulley, and cat back, the flywheel is by far the best mod ive done, headers would be next, for me, its a fairly responsive car to mods, dont let anyone tell you that the 2.2 is a dead end, they are just plain wrong, not to mention they are WAY more reliable then 2.5s!

do you have any problems with the timing belt? because you have a light flywheel and pulley

Cool

i have no problems whatsoever, 9K miles now with not so much as a hiccup, i work at a subaru dealer, and when i was putting my flywheel and clutch in, this kid who was also a mechanic, but he has a rex was saying over and over again "its not even gonna run" boy the look on his face when i fired it up......i hate retards that think they know everything, just because they read it, this thing goes through the gears like a motorcycle now, blazing fast!

More reliable than the DOHC EJ25s with head gasket issues, but the SOHC ones are as bulletproof as any subaru motor.

then i guess 11lbs is as light as you can go before you start getting problems with the timing belt slipping and misfire codes at idle

thats great news because i was afraid of the belt slipping with a lightweight flywheel and light weight pulley

Automatics don't have flywheels or clutches, so his is a 5 speed. The intake is probably a cone filter on the maf housing, but that's pure specualtion on my part.
