06 Rs Mod Thread
#213
Hello all, just chiming in, I just picked up my 06 Impreza wagon a few days ago and it is very nice. I traded in my 2002 Audi S4 for it and let me tell you, it's a huge wait off of my shoulders! I'm liking this car and my only regret is that it's a lease vehicle so i won't be able to get nuts with the modding, as much as I would like to. But hey, i can change the rims at least!! Well, happy modding everyone and the cars are starting to look awesome!

I've had the Weapon R intake for about a week, sitting in my garage. Let's just say the directions really suck. Since we have the 06, your supposed to "drill" a 3/8" hole into god knows what, for the AIT sensor. Thats the part I have not figured out. Anyone have any ideas or have completed this install? The quality/finish of the parts is actually pretty nice.

Guys come on, help em out here. There is plenty of chatter, so I know people read this thread. anyone, i mean ANYONE? know if 06 wrx and 06 2.5i exhausts are compatible, and if so, how far back in years. 2002 exhausts fit now?

From Nasioc forums, one member stated that the AXELBACK portion is compatible.
MEANING, you can buy the STI axelback, and replace your 2.5i's stock axelback.
BUT NOT CATBACK!
Search it up + other forums as well.
I'm planning to purchase the STI axelback sometime this summer and bolt it onto my 2.5i. If the STI axelback can fit, then i'm assuming the wrx axelback is compatible. But don't take my word for it. Ask around for more opinions/reviews.

well on my 2.5i i put on a stock 05 STI exhaust, got it for free so i put it on, had to do a little work to it cause it didnt fit perfectly. Pretty much just took the resonator off and extended the pipe. i havent had any problems with it so far.. is it not good to put an STI exhaust on a 2.5i?
#221
there should be no problem with the exhaust, but did you install the catback or the axelback of the Sti exhaust?
Only the 2006 imprezas can swap axelbacks. That's all I've heard so far.

awwww wit the spoiler.... nice look.
ive got the black one too. limo tinted the glass all around, gonna drop i a bit, exhaust and slip in some gunmetal rims... straight sleeper....
any word on any supercharger projects out there for our engine.... i only want like 5psi boost and would rather have that from a belt driven blower instead of a laggy turbo.
whats the good word out there?

Get the FOGS!
Everyone should put a few bucks into some fog lights. Made the car look better. Not to mention the increase in visibility within the first 20 feet or so. Super easy install. Surrounds were already painted.

lol, I got lucky with my foggies.
I received a $1000 free accessory add-on, when financing my car.
I added fogs + immobilizer + all season mats.
Wanted the short throw shifter + spoiler, but . . i guess i leaned towards the 'safety' items instead.
But i got my short throw shifter couple months later :P
