Will I be reaching 350whp?
Hey, I-club!
(Such a noob post I know)
But I'm kind of excited and would love to hear some input! I wanted to see if ill be reaching 350WHP with the set up I purchased. I cant install it just yet since I purchased the car from an auction, and it needs some body work to get done first!
- Perrin Headers
- Perrin Up-pipe
- Perrin Down-pipe (Catless)
- Perrin Catback
- Perrin Pulley
- Perrin Cold Air
- 850cc Deatschworks
- Spearco TMIC
- E85
- Looking to get tuned at EQ
Thanks! (Any help would be appreciated)

Lol, the 07 STI has the same motor ever other year had. Funny how people don't understand that, only difference is the factory tune that sucked. So if you trashed your car while on the factory tune then it could happen! EWG on a stock turbo does very little if anything. Ed will tell you the same.......

07's are known to have weak ringlands. You could be lucky and not have the pistons go. If you do have Ed tune it just talk to him and go over your plans for the car.
I hit 335whp 400wtq on E85 on a Catted turboback, 850cc injectors, fuel pump, cross over pipe, MBC and SPT intake

SO BEING into subaru you should know that they changed piston manufacturers in 07 to a different company. Everyone know this. Just like everyone know that the 2007 sti blows more then any other engine! Do those mods and see how long the car lasts. And the ewg does do stuff on a stock turbo, I would say about 20whp on a stock turbo. Look at cornfeds car...

Talk to LIC, I remember when I first got my car and the pulley tore apart they told me that would be a bad idea.
Also Matt is right, subaru changed to chinese manufactured pistons and rings in 07 the crap tune made it worse and most noticeable that year. It break down all depends on the driver and how its tuned. Seems to be the tread that anything canbus has this problem from factory.
As long as you have good compression you should be fine to tune the car but be prepared for stuff to go bad and plan on building the motor if you plan on hitting 350. 300-320whp on pump is a good threshold that the stock blocks can hold and be safe. Yeah you can hit 350 but it has a greater chance of blowing up on you.
What are your plans with the car track, autox, stupid 7th street bs, or DD? You have a good list to start off with, have you thought about the clutch too? Also with power you're going to want stopping power and suspension.
